Return Policy and Warranty
1. Scope of Returns
We only accept returns for products that are faulty or defective and fall under either:
- The Consumer Protection Act (CPA), or
- The manufacturer’s warranty
We do not accept returns for change of mind or incorrect purchases.
2. Consumer Protection Act (CPA) – 6 Month Protection
In terms of the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa, customers may return goods within 6 months of delivery only if the product has an inherent defect.
An inherent defect is a fault that:
- Existed at the time of sale, or
- Is the result of defective materials, workmanship, or design under normal use
If a product is confirmed to have an inherent defect, the customer is entitled to choose between:
- Repair, or
- Replacement, or
- Refund
as provided for under the CPA.
3. Exclusions – What Is NOT Covered
The CPA and manufacturer warranties do not cover damage caused after delivery, including but not limited to:
- Accidental or physical damage (drops, cracks, impact)
- Misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Liquid or moisture damage
- Power surges or incorrect power sources
- Forced, bent, or broken ports, cables, or connectors
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
- Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by any of the above is not considered an inherent defect, even if it occurs within 6 months of purchase.
4. Inspection & Assessment
All returns and warranty claims are subject to inspection and testing by us or an authorised service centre.
We reserve the right to:
- Request photos or videos
- Physically inspect the product
- Refer the product to the manufacturer or service centre for assessment
If inspection confirms that the issue is customer-caused damage, the claim will be rejected and no CPA remedy will apply.
5. Manufacturer Warranty (After 6 Months)
After the 6-month CPA period:
- All claims are handled strictly under the manufacturer’s warranty
- Warranty outcomes (repair, replacement, or refund) are determined by the manufacturer
- Manufacturer warranty terms and exclusions apply
6. Shipping & Handling Costs
- All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- This applies to inspections, warranty claims, and rejected claims
- Original delivery fees are non-refundable
- Return shipping back to the customer will be at the customer’s expense.
7. Return Process
To submit a return or warranty claim:
- Contact us within 7 days of discovering the fault
- Provide:
- Proof of purchase
- Description of the issue
- Photos or videos where applicable
- Await approval before sending the product back
Returns sent without prior approval may be refused.
8. Final Notes
- All assessments are final and based on inspection results
- Processing times depend on manufacturers or service centres
- We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet the conditions above
